Well I am flitter fairy and I set up the fairy line call centre when my own little girl became worried about becoming a big sister in 2003.
She started to have nightmares while I was pregnant and would wake five or six times a night, being very upset and frightened in the process.
Phoning the fairies was something that we developed together with Candyfloss pixie (see below about him) to help our little girl talk about what was worrying her.
I am also a trained social worker and local government national advisor for social care when I am not working at the call centre, so I have some idea about how to work with and help children in difficulty.
Our full story is in the parent and carer's guide that is included in the Starter Pack should you wish to purchase one. You will need one if you want to start phoning with your children and planning special time every day with them.
Candyfloss pixie is our first little girl's daddy and he started helping at the fairyline when we realised that Flitter might have a night off now and then!
Through phonethefairies, we have been reminded about how special our children are and how quickly they grow up. Special time is so important…it is like a big investment that you make for a fantastic return later.
We believe that nighttimes without fairies, pixies or dragons, means finishing a day without special time.
Special time is for children like fertiliser in a garden – when young plants are given extra special attention, they grow to be beautiful and well established. They put down good roots and give their gardeners lots of pleasure. Children are not so different.
If you want to know more about us once you have read the guide, or even before you purchase it, drop us a line to the fairy call centre – address on the contact page – and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
